Originally from Manaslu, Gorkha, and with 22 years of experience, Mr. Chet Prasad Bhatta now serves as the Managing Director at Classic Vacations Nepal. He is a young, energetic, and dynamic leader in mountain tourism in Nepal. He began his trekking career as a trekking porter for a short period before officially starting his mountain tourism career as a trekking guide in 2001. After several years of guiding groups in mountain trekking in Nepal, he then assumed the role of Executive Director at Nepal Vision Treks & Expedition Pvt. Ltd. in 2006. Subsequently, he joined Advanced Adventures Nepal as Chairman and Executive Director for some time before founding Classic Vacations Nepal Pvt. Ltd.
Mr. Chet Prasad Bhatta is an educated and skilled professional in Nepal's tourism industry. He is fluent in English and possesses excellent speaking and writing skills in the language. Mr. Bhatta plays a pivotal role in the company, focusing on tourism for development through mountain trekking in Nepal. He places a strong emphasis on conducting trips with sustainable tourism practices that support the local economy. He consistently employs mountain guides and support staff, contributing to a sustainable economy in the mountain regions of Nepal.
At Classic Vacations Nepal, he places a significant emphasis on responsible mountain tourism, implementing eco-tourism principles and organizing trips that minimize environmental impact. He is a dedicated professional committed to ensuring the safety of trips in the mountains and consistently delivers professionalized and personalized services. Mr. Bhatta is also a dedicated social worker, serving as the founder director of Pioneer Foundation Nepal, a non-profit organization that focuses on projects for marginalized communities, provides education for underprivileged children, and fundraises to support community schools in the mountain regions of Nepal.
Mr. Chet Bhatta has traveled to Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia, Singapore, Australia and United Kingdom (UK) for marketing and promoting mountain tourism in Nepal. He has also made multiple trips to Europe, including Germany, Switzerland, France, Spain, Portugal, and Italy to promote Nepal's tourism.
Furthermore, Mr. Bhatta attended CMT-Stuttgart in 2020, ITB Berlin in 2023 and WTM London at Nov 2024 as a business travel visitor, aiming to understand global tourism practices, network, and promote Nepal's mountain tourism industry.
