Bhutan- The Land Of The Thunder Dragon

Bhutan, an incredible Buddhist Kingdom, also known as the Land of the Thunder Dragon, is a beautiful mountain country nested in the eastern Himalayas between Tibet (China), and India. Bhutan is a country with a rich and unique buddhist culture, traditions, and stunning natural beauty. 

Bhutan is famous for its Buddhist Monasteries, magnificent fortresses, landscapes, traditional Bhutanese culture, and way of life living in the country. From the lush tropical forests in the south to the snow-capped peaks of the Himalayas in the north, Bhutan's landscapes are truly awe-inspiring. The country is home to numerous protected areas, including national parks, wildlife sanctuaries, and biosphere reserves, which protect its diverse and rich biodiversity.

Thimphu is the capital of Bhutan. It is a trading center in the country and has all the government offices.  Arguably, Bhutan is known as the happiest country in the world. 

Getting to Bhutan?
Bhutan only operates flights from Bangkok, Singapore, a few major cities of India, and Kathmandu, Nepal. Druk Air- a national carrier of Bhutan, and Bhutan Airlines are the only two airlines that operate flights to Paro, Bhutan. By land, we could only enter Bhutan from the Indian border at west bengal from the Immigration Office of Royal Government of Bhutan at Phuentsholing district. 

When is the best time to visit Bhutan?
Spring months from March to May are considered the best time to travel Bhutan. Spring flowering seasons have blossomed in trees, it has clear weather and excellent visibility. Also, Autumn, Sep to Nov are considered the second best season to travel Bhutan. Weather and visibility will be perfect, but temperature could get slightly cold compared to spring months
