Kathmandu, the capital of Nepal is a valley situated at the altitude of 1350 m from sea level. Kathmandu Valley is surrounded by Shivapuri National Park hills and forests at its all sides. Kathmandu Valley has three major cities, namely Kathmandu, Patan & Bhaktapur.
Kathmandu Valley is widely known as the city of temples because of a cluster of Hindu temples, historical squares, Buddhist pagodas and monasteries throughout the city. Kathmandu valley is known for its arts and architecture which mainly have religious themes of Hinduism and Buddhism dating back from the 17th centuries.
The Kathmandu Valley is the main economic hub of Nepal. Surrounding hills and landscapes of Kathmandu valley are incredible, very scenic, natural and popular for day hikes.
In Kathmandu valley, we have seven cultural and historical sites listed as UNESCO world heritage sites. Kathmandu Durbar Square (Locally known as Basantapur), Patan Durbar Square, Bhaktapur Durbar Square, Pashupatinath Temple (Holiest Hindu temple), Buddhanath Stupa ( Important Buddhist Stupa in valley), Swayambhunath Stupa, travelers saying as money temple and Changu Narayan Temple are the major sites listed in UNESCO heritage sites in the valley.

Evening, we will have a meeting, tour briefing and discussion. Followed by a welcome dinner at a typical nepalese restaurant, eating local food and enjoying cultural preference, you will be back to the hotel.

Breakfast at hotel, and then we will proceed for the day tour of Kathmandu Valley. Transfer to Swayambhunath Stupa- it is also known as monkey temple, situated at the little top of the hills covering wide range of area with highest point of Kathmandu valley and enjoy the 360 degrees of valley view. The Swayambhunath complex consists of a Stupa, a variety of shrines and temples, some dating back to the Licchavi period.
Further, transfer to Pashupati Nath temple is the most pilgrimage sites of Hindus, one of the most important shrine of Shiva temples on the subcontinent which is place of thousands of devotees, Saddhus (holy men/Baba), and can be seen the cremating body most of the times in the holy riverbank of Bagmati. Next, we will visit Buddha, a biggest Buddhist monastery of the world- dedicated to the peaceful Stupa of the world as well. This Stupa is one of the holy Stupa for the entire Nepalese Buddhist peoples along with Tibetan Buddhist. You can explore with rounding prayer wheel and flattering colorful flag with melodious chanting noise.
Further drive to Kathmandu Durbar Square, Kathmandu Durbar Square which is old royal palace of Kathmandu and can be seen lot of temple, architectures and Kumari (living goddess) and walk in a freak street and further drive back to hotel. Evening; free time

This day starts with visit to the Patan Durbar Square, situated in the center of Patan city, also known as Lalitpur, houses the residence of the former Patan royal family. Patan Durbar Square and its surroundings is good specimen of ancient Newari architecture. It has several multi-sized and multi-styled temples occupy the western part of the complex. Main among these is Krishna Temple, Bhimsen Temple and the Golden Temple of Hiranya Varna etc.
Further short drive brings us to the wonderful valley of Bungmati & Khokana, they are traditional Newari Villages.
Visit to these Newari Villages are very interesting as it still abiding its tradition as their significant part of life as they even still living age old culture and civilization. Khokana is where an important temple of Durga is situated as well. Here you could see the wonderful wood and stone artifact. Afternoon, drive back to Hotel.

Today, after breakfast in Kathmandu, we will drive to Sundarijal for approx. of an hour and start uphill hike to Shivapuri Hill through forest section. This walk is amazing through local villages, farming lands, terraces and nature hill. It takes about 3 hours to reach to the top of the Shivapuri hill, then the trail slightly descends in forest hill Chisapani village for tonight stay. Overnight at Mt. Lodge.

Morning, enjoy the landscape views of Chisapani village, and some Langtang region mountains views while having breakfast. Trail from Chisapani to Nagarkot is through the off road in nature, scenic trail walks. With some gradual up hill, then to a long descend to valley through the local villages and farming lands. The final walk to Nagarkot will be gradual uphill again. So, today is wonderful walking in nature, landscapes and terrace of this region. Nagarkot has nice sunset views of mountains vista. Overnight at Hotel.

Morning, walk to Nagarkot view tower for the sunrise views of the north east Himalayas, including Langtang and Gaurishanker range. Morning breakfast at hotel. Afternoon, transfer to Bhaktapur valley. Guided sightseeing tour at this medieval town. Guide will take you to visit pottery square workshop where you could see how farmers makes pots and you could even try to make it with them. Transfer to hotel in Kathmandu. Overnight hotel.

Today at early morning, we will transfer you to airport for taking Mt. Everest Experience flight by plane. This flight is incredible with world highest Himalayan panorama including Mt. Everest & Khumbu region mountains. This flight is for 50 min.
After this morning flight, return back to hotel and breakfast.
Free afternoon. Evening, we meet again, talk about the trip. Feedback of your trip with us. We will host farewell dinner at finest restaurant in town.

Bal Bahadur Tamang was born in Solukhumbu. After completing his eighth grade, he left his village and went to Jiri to work as a porter. His first experience as a porter was to carry a big sack of rice from Jiri to Lukla. He has carried as heavy as 60 kg of load on his back as a porter.
